Sitting (Money) 2004 - 2006
• Sources of Work
I have begun the work entitled "Sitting" since January 2004, inspired from my own collection of Laos's wood-carving Buddha images.

Those carvings are in the form of Buddha's sitting position, which is similar to the ones that people always donate to the temple.

The first reason of the creativity is due to my personal interest in the Folk Art, which apparently appears in the facial figure and the body outline of the sculptures.

Secondly, the work is encouraged from my everyday practice of meditation. Through the meditative processes, I have gained inner happiness and selfacknowledgement, which lead me eventually to more careful consideration and to many good creative ideas. It can be concluded that the work "Sitting" is arisen from my ordinary practice and what I have experienced by heart.
