PORTRAIT PRIZE 2022, Thailand's first ever portrait competition is now accepting submissions. This competition is organized for the second time after being successfully launched last year.

PORTRAIT PRIZE has been awarded to the best portrait, preferably of a person distinguished in the society. The artwork must be a painting and having at least one live sitting with the artist.

What you need to submit
1. Photo of the entry
2. Photo showing the painter and subject together for their life painting sitting
3. A short text of no more than 300 words about who and why the subject is important

Finalists will compete for the following prizes:
Portrait Prize: THB 500,000 - awarded by the judges.
Packer Room Prize: THB 200,000 - chosen by River City Bangkok’s exhibition team.
People’s Choice Prize: THB 100,000 - voted by the public visiting the exhibition.

Key dates
- Submissions deadline: Sunday 14 August at 11.59 p.m. - Finalists for the exhibition notified: Friday 19 August
- RCB Portrait and Packing Room Prize Announce: Thursday 15 September
- Exhibition opens to the public: Friday 16 September
- People’s Choice Prize announced: Sunday 30 October
- Exhibition last day: Sunday 30 October 2022

*This year, only paintings by the finalists will be exhibited at the exhibition.

กลับมาอีกครั้งกับงานนี้ PORTRAIT PRIZE 2022 การจัดการประกวดวาดภาพพอร์ตเทรตครั้งแรกในประเทศไทย ซึ่งจัดต่อเนื่องเป็นครั้งที่ 2 ในปีนี้ หลังจากประสบความสำเร็จในปีที่ผ่านมา

PORTRAIT PRIZE เป็นรางวัลที่จะมอบให้กับผลงานภาพพอร์ตเทรตที่ดีเยี่ยมที่สุดแห่งปี ซึ่งเป็นภาพของผู้ใกล้ชิดหรือบุคคลที่มีความโดดเด่นจากแวดวงต่างๆ โดยผู้ส่งผลงานเข้าประกวดต้องวาดสด โดยมีแบบมานั่งวาด

สิ่งที่ต้องส่งมีดังนี้
1. ผลงานภาพพอร์เทรต
2. ภาพถ่ายขณะศิลปินกำลังนั่งวาดภาพกับบุคคลที่เป็นแบบ
3. คำบรรยายสั้นๆ ไม่เกิน 300 คำเพื่ออธิบายว่าบุคคลที่มาเป็นแบบนั้นมีความสำคัญต่อศิลปินอย่างไร

Portrait Prize: 500,000 บาท - ตัดสินโดยคณะกรรมการ
Packer Room Prize: 200,000 บาท – คัดเลือกโดยทีมจัดนิทรรศการริเวอร์ ซิตี้ แบงค็อก
People’s Choice: 100,000 บาท - จากการโหวดของผู้ชมนิทรรศการ Portrait Prize

กำหนดการ
- ส่งผลงานเข้าร่วมประกวดวันสุดท้าย: วันอาทิตย์ที่ 14 สิงหาคม เวลา 23:59 น.
- ประกาศผลผู้เข้าชิงรอบสุดท้าย: วันศุกร์ที่ 19 สิงหาคม
- การประกาศรางวัล Portrait และ Packing Room Prize: วันพฤหัสบดีที่ 15 กันยายน
- นิทรรศการเริ่มเปิดให้บุคคลทั่วไปได้เข้าชม: วันศุกร์ที่ 16 กันยายน
- การประกาศรางวัล People’s Choice Prize: วันอาทิตย์ที่ 30 ตุลาคม
- นิทรรศการเปิดให้ชมวันสุดท้าย: วันอาทิตย์ที่ 30 ตุลาคม

*ในปีนี้เฉพาะผลงานที่ผ่านการคัดเลือกจะได้นำมาจัดแสดงในนิทรรศการ
