Exhibition : Portraits of Life by Pradit Tungprasartwong
Surapon Gallery   Introdruction Sample work Exhibition Publication
  Concept ::

" ... the crucible in which the paintings' emotional charge is derived is the experience of living, and life's power to move us. I believe there are no more than three things in life capable of making us happy or sad. The first is the struggle to survive; the second is love, and together, they give rise to the third: the need to find a spiritual anchor, in other words, something or someone to have faith in. Faith is necessary to our survival. The paintings in this latest series inevitably reflect these experiences. How could they not? Everything that is happening in my life at present and everything that happened to me in the past are given tangible form in my work, and therefore, the portraits that you see on display are not just paintings of these specific people but portraits of my life as well. (My art is the art of true self-portraiture.)..."
